Bio Monthly (Feb 2025): Bio V1 Launch, $CURES Discovery + Instant Liquidity, BioAgents, Coinbase Futures & More
Highlights:
- Bio V1 development is rapidly progressing, targeting Mainnet deployments on both Solana and Base in the coming weeks.
- The V1 protocol will consist of various components aimed at making early-stage biotech more permissionless and autonomous, including a launchpad, liquidity engine and BioAgents (AI-powered scientific agents integrated with BioDAOs).
- Curetopia, whose auction is ongoing on Bio's V0 launchpad, gives a glimpse into the autonomous nature of Bio V1. The CURES token, if sufficiently funded, will go live on Solana with a BIO/CURES liquidity pool within hours of the auction closing on March 11 at 6pm UTC.

💻 Dev Updates
- The phased roll-out of Bio V1 was recently discussed in an X Spaces.
- Bio V1 will enable DeSci fair launches (via bonding curves and auctions), automated liquidity, milestone-based incentives (bio/acc rewards), and natively integrated BioAgents.
- The V1 roll-out will start in the coming weeks on both Solana and Base.
- Users will be able to lock or stake BIO tokens to perform core functions on the network (like BioDAO curation or running BioAgents), with protocol fees recycled back into the ecosystem (via liquidity or token burns) to fuel growth.
- To catch up on community discussions, see the proposed V1 Launchpad Overview, Curation & Funding mechanisms. We'll soon share more info and user guides on Bio V1.
- Bio announced BioAgents to accelerate scientific breakthroughs by automating tasks like hypothesis generation and experiment design across BioDAOs. Read the 2025 vision and join our upcoming global BioAgents Hackathon.
💡New BioDAOs
- Curetopia, the first BioDAO on Solana, launched their community auction for $CURES and have raised 1.4k+ SOL so far to fund decentralized trials and drug repurposing in the $1T+ rare disease market. Curetopia announced they've already uncovered clinical discoveries in the lab which they plan to patent onchain, receiving attention from the Solana Foundation. The CURES Auction closes on March 11 -- and if sufficiently funded, a BIO/CURES pool will be deployed within hours of the auction closing. Get $CURES.
